sweet dreams are made of… nouvelle vague
my most recent impulse buy was a pair of tickets to last sunday’s NOUVELLE VAGUE concert. the band is utterly amazing, they do cover songs of 80s songs in a very fresh, jazzy, bossa nova, sensual french style.
they were great in concert, in particular thanks to one of the singers (think she’s called nadeah) who had such great dance moves, she really hypontized the audience!
had loads of fun, and am now playing them on my mp3 all the time. the only ennerving things was that the concert started late by over an hour! i was about to leave, but then i realized that the ticket did not even have organizer’s name on it, so no one to complain to about money… it’s very disrespectful of them to make fans wait, even madonna was “only” an hour late, and these guys over an hour!
anyhow, this band was introduced to me by my colleague sitting next to me, who is a music guru! and our fave DJ in the office. :) thanks popkitchen for introducing :)
